Municipality to begin accepting truck-hauled sewage at Clanwilliam-Erickson Wastewater Lagoon The Municipality is aware that truck-hauled wastewater from outside the Municipality of Harrison Park is no longer accepted at Onanole lagoon, and may only be accepted temporarily at the Sandy Lake lagoon. We are thankful to the Municipality of Harrison Park for providing this temporary measure, recognizing that infrastructure management is a constant challenge. We have been working to deliver an alternate solution to residents, and can now announce that the Clanwilliam-Erickson lagoon will be made available to all municipal residents. This announcement comes with several caveats.
We are in the process of determining what the long-term solution will look like, and we are having encouraging conversations with higher levels of government and other partners in the region. We are moving as quickly as possible to design the most efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solution that we can, and we will keep you informed as we make progress. Thank you for your patience and support while we work on this extremely important issue. If you have questions or comments, please contact the municipal office or email [email protected].
